I was informed this would cost 1.75 in euro from ROI or 1 pound from the UK to call. The message clearly stated (as I noted a little later) that the number was for an irish office. ... read full story / add a comment

U2 have announced their second concert in Ireland for this summer. They are doing this through their promoter, MCD. (MCD also promoted the elevation tour) It's interesting that they name their album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb", and then use MCD, which is owned by Clear Channel. Clear Channel is closely aligned to the Bush administration, and support for the Iraq war exists throughout many of its radio stations in the United States. Actions ranging from bulldozing Dixie Chicks albums to censoring Rage Against the Machine songs have been taken by Clear Channel stations. ... read full story / add a comment

# diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough) measles, tuberculosis, and polio.

These are the illnesses you ought to have been immunised against as a child or as a teenager if you're female.
