The GAM are about to get wiped out, to use the phrase the Indonesian General in charge of the campaign to quell the rebels, and keep their mineral wealth for themselves(sounds familiar doesnt it), has used when talking to the international press. Like East Timor, they are going to rape this place, and it seems to be getting very little coverage on IMC or in the mainstream press. Tim Collins, who made a much-reported speech to troops exhorting them to behave honourably, has been accused of assaulting POWs and shooting recklessly near civilians. His speech included such gems as "You will be shunned unless your conduct is of the highest, for your deeds will follow you down through history" and "We go to liberate not to conquer.
