On the last mass deportation it is rumoured that there were two Irish children deported. While we should not discriminate due to birth the Irish government has a constitutional obligation to protect Irish children and deporting them into an unfavourable situation is not the way to protect them. This is an ELECTED official...removed from his earned position...for 'smoking'?! "Smoking" is being made, like the apple in Eden, a Test of Obedience, intentionally with little or no REASON otherwise. If it made intuitive, obvious sense, like laws against robbery and mahem, the test wouldn't work.
One thing is..no one has DEFINED "smoking'" to account for any indusrial, harmful, non-tobacco adulterants.
Maybe Mr. Deasy will express interest.
