the weather was not as good as previous years but that has not stopped SARI growing bigger every year.
FATIMA were the overall winners of the cup and DUN LAOIGHRE won the plate
lots of people, lots of color, lots of fun
well done to everyone who was involved
and fair play to the bohs girls, yesterday wasnt the warmest of days but the still went around smiling in their bohs tops

we stopped and had little interviews with people yesterday. so enjoy the audio clips and tell more people that this and other thing like it are growing nationwide

its a strange time for ireland, untill recently we were the ones leaving home, hoping to be made welcome in new countries. now the tables have turned and people are arriving on our shores
people from all backrounds and coutries are learnign to live, work and play together
diversity is healthy
we celebrate this and hope it grows and grows

It was with a certain amount of reluctance that I dragged my snot filled unemployed head from the pillow in order to cycle down to the courts to watch the massive steam roller of justice crank into slow action. I got there early, the clock on the wall read 10.15 and only myself and four worried looking mothers sat in the public gallery. On the way into court 46 I noticed young cops with manila folders tucked under their arms swap jokes and get their stories straight for the judge later on. This appears to me to be the way the State prepares it's cases.

the last few years has seen new colours, new tastes, new languages, new sounds, styles.

Trident Ploughshares pledger, Adam Conway (25), was sent to prison for seven days today for refusing to pay a 170 GBP fine he received for an anti-nuke protest back in July 2001. Many Indymedia Ireland readers will know Adam from his tireless work on Shannon, in Gluaiseacht, the Grassroots Gathering, Mayday protests and actions.
