‘our mayday’ The tradition of mayday has always been about the celebration of life, a way of people coming together all over the world, taking over public spaces, a day of defiance against authority. Mayday is a chance for us to connect our struggles with the struggles of others globally, a day when we can collectively voice our opposition to exploitation, the repression of our desires and dreams, to create a new world, a stateless world, a world without capitalism... ‘our kitchen’ is a weekly gathering for people who want to change the world. It is an opportunity to network with individuals & groups involved in anarchism, environmentalism, peace activism & a whole host of other non-hierarchal stuff. It takes place every Wednesday at 7pm in the Resource Space downstairs in Giros & is followed by enter/infotainment with great veggie food in the cafe upstairs. Your welcome to come along & get ... read full story / add a comment

It is implementing blockades of the merchandise of war, sanctioning those who are speculating in the war, breaking off diplomatic ties with political representatives of the governments at war. That movement is dreaming up another possible world, and it knows that, in order to achieve that world, it must remove the dimension of unjust and cynical legality of the market of war, in order to make room for humanity. ... read full story / add a comment
