OVER the past year the local people from the pretty little West Bank village of Bil’in have been holding protests every Friday against the planned building of Israel’s Wall (Apartheid Wall/Security Fence) right outside the northern section of the village. Each Friday villagers have been joined by left wing Israeli’s and international activists to march to the line where the wall is to be built. Two weeks ago (Friday 8, July) a Palestinian youth died from injuries he received while on the protest from a ‘rubber bullet’ fired by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). Michael McDowell has been invited to open this years Dublin Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. Given his ongoing attack against minorities there are many in the lgbt community calling on the fesitval organisers to withdraw their invitation.

To add your voice in opposition to what is a hypocrtical attempt by McDowell to appear inclusive while at the same time continuing his racist policy of deportations email the organisers

Ex student activists from the late 1980's might remember the name of TCD student and general trouble maker Andrew Black. Well tonight he is on the last table of the Los Vegas 'World Poker Series' with some 8 million dollars in chips sitting in front of him. Yesterday morning (the 12th of july 2005) saw five explosions in the spanish state, four were against irish financial interests and were pre-warned and claimed by ETA and one was against the Italian state and is being attributed to extremist groups under the "italian anti-system anarchist" umbrella.
