Today, led by the indefatigable and omnipresent, Dr. Gerry Cowley, Shell to Sea activists along with some young turks from Ogra Sinn Fein highlighted the plight of the Rossport 5 outside the main entrance to the Galway races in Ballybrit and when the traffic into the race course began petering out did the same again outside Entrance B. From the frequent warm expressions of solidarity directed at Gerry, it is clear, he is widely recognized and that his efforts on behalf of the Rossport 5 and his spearheading of the campaign to send Shell to Sea are, likewise, widely lauded.

After our stint on the frontline, the good doctor announced his attention of going into the race meeting to winkle out Ahern from the Fianna Fail corruption tent in order to shame the bugger (the 25 euro entrance fee kyboshed our good intentions to join him). After that, J.C was off to Cloverhill stir to visit the 5. The protests continue tomorrow in Ballybrit - please join us outside Entrance C @ 12 noon?. ... read full story / add a comment

Tonight, the great 'n good, the rotten 'n corrupt of Fianna Fail, with heads down ran the gauntlet of our contempt as they headed into the Radisson hotel for their contemptible ego-fest, Ahern, looking bovine, if not ovine crept sheepishly by, well ensconsed in his security car and Special Branch minders.
