Indymedia has a huge amount of pages on it's group projects and processes at http://docs.indymedia.org they are made on a twiki (see twiki.org) which allows many people to edit one document. I have tried to follow that example to make a photo help page http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Main/PaulCummins which would end up looking something like this http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~chewy/temp/photohelp.html ... read full story / add a comment

Sitting here in Galway today reading the newswire, i can hear military jets (presumably US) flying overhead in preparation for the Salthill Airshow. For some people in certain parts of our world that sound means imminent and indiscriminate injury or death. For us its just a fun day out down in Salthill, naked militarism? no its just Entertainment!. Once more we are faced with the stark contrast between Reality and the life that we actually lead here ...in cloud cuckoo land. Use the airshow to imagine the terror ... read full story / add a comment

Still high from the incredible buzz of the three-day peace camp and wild sense of empowerment I always feel on actions with da Grassroots; looks like I’m not alone, seems the buzz is contagious. In the few short days since, I’ve met strangers on the streets of Galway with faces aglow, yelling hello, eager to share the wonderment of their experiences of the weekend. “People don’t understand,” one new friend, exclaims, “How fun this all is; how great you feel when we come together to oppose the soul destroyers.” ... read full story / add a comment

The following article has just been published in the latest edition of Comhlamh’s magazine, Focus (Winter 2003/Spring 2004). Written by Fintan Lane while in prison back in January, it argues that anti-war activists need “to develop a strategy based on tactical diversity”. Might be worth a read as people re-assess things after the Bush visitation. ... read full story / add a comment
