In an interview today Ariel Sharon dismissed American pressure to give up illegal settlements in exchange for peace, saying that every US administration up until now had been against them also but it hadn't stood in the way of US aid and support to date. He also said that the Israeli version of the Berlin wall will be re-routed to annex settlements such as Beit El into Israel. Rather than show willingness to negotiate he chose instead to rachet up the tension saying that the Palestinians will have no right of return as a precondition to any agreement. read full story / add a comment
