This story arose while indymedia was off air, as usual I just summarise/archive other press/blogs, McEvaddy and Irish companies involvement of US war machine is such a collosal issue its hasn't written about specifically for while and it difficult one to tackle.

"We will be looking at the US market initially as well as other international potentials," he said yesterday, with the charter business the most likely first target, including companies like Ryan International and American Trans Air. It is understood that other markets the airport will target include South Africa.

Knock airport says itis going to use the new open skies agreement to get new long haul routes via Knock any other ideas have been put on the long finger. ... read full story / add a comment

Disciplinary procedures in Irish Defence Force faces overhaul

I Donal Roche wish to have these standards applied to my case. Please visit my blog and ask your local politicians to do the right thing in 2007. How long must I wait for justice? Where are my former comrades in arms?

Disciplinary procedures in the Irish Defence Forces are to be radically overhauled.

The new system will mirror the civil legal process in a military environment.

According to thelong running Wayne Madsen website, who is a former intelligence officer in the US, there are reports from captains of tankers which would have methane sensors onboard due to their cargo, that there has been an increase in alarms going off on these sensors and that it is in fact not caused by their cargo, but Methane gas escaping or bubbling up from the Ocean floor especially along the Hudson Submarine Canyon over the eastern USA. ... read full story / add a comment

The Whitehouse is in damage control over the bungled execution of Saddam Hussein. The hurried execution backfired in the worst possible way; a vanquished leader should never be allowed to continue his work from the ‘grave’. Anthropologists are familiar with appeasement rituals and ceremonies for the dead, which are common to numerous cultures. In the wake of Saddam’s bungled execution these curious rituals begin to make sense. ... read full story / add a comment

The disappearance of Julio Lopez, an aging former political prisoner and important state witness in the trial of a former police investigator found guilty of human rights abuses electrified the social movement in Argentina back in November. Despite mobilisations and the appearance of graffiti demanding action from the Kirchner government all over the capital, there are now further hints of present day dirty tactics by police connected to the former dictatership. On the same day that Spain resolved to arrest former police officer and alleged death squad leader Rodolfo Almiro, a second disappeared witness in trials against military officers - Luis Angel Gerez - suddenly reappeared. This reappearance comes amidst widespread claims that hundreds of threats have been made against human rights and social movement activists in the capital and across the country, as usual Upsidedownworld.org has the latest... ... read full story / add a comment

I just accidently became involved in what has turned out to be the biggest house-building fraud in this so-called United Kingdon when I purchased one of these totally defective and criminally and illegaly built dwellings in 1976. This fraud has now been successfully covered up by all the political parties in Northern Ireland for 30 years. The British Government even allowed the lawful findings of the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints to be overturned to protect the corrupt cover-up of this fraud by Down District Council. The 'catholic' SDLP has led the cover-up in Down District Council.

The puppet judiciary of occupied Iraq today announced that Saddam Hussein would be hanged within 30 days. Saddam is presently being tried for the mass murder of Kurdish villagers but the judiciary insisted that he MUST be executed regardless of any other proceedings. This decision is a ‘just in time’ corporate-style decision – just in time for what the uninformed reader would ask? Just in time to save America from incrimination for supplying the chemical weapons and expertise required to kill the innocent Kurdish villagers – that is the REAL NEWS of the day! ... read full story / add a comment

The Good news or how to aprehend corporate media’s distorsions and lies

“Reading tabloids at work put me in such a state of distress I had to do something about it. So I took my scissors, rearranged the images and rewrote the issues so at least I could get a laugh out of them.” That’s how Jacques Dauphin decided to turn corporate media’s brain-washing newspapers into ridicule.
Tabloids are part of english and irish life, a complement and justification to the millions of CCTVs now hanging at every street corner. Fearful tragedies fuelled with drugs and poverty seem complementary with a fascination for the rich, powerful and famous.
In a humorous way, Jacques Dauphin denounces the state of alienation tabloid readers are kept in by pushing irrelevance and unprecedented rumors even further than tabloids dare to.
Jacques Dauphin’s Good news are strictly copyleft, can be sent on the internet without permission and printed as long as people ask him at: [email protected]

The arch-conservative Anglican Dean of Sydney's St. Andrews Cathedral, Phil Jensen, has delivered a Christmas message worthy of the most mindless, inane comment that the infamous neo-con war monger and lunatic Donald “uknown knowns” Rumsfeld could have delivered. The Dean stated that “Christmas is about God giving, that God gave the gift of God and the gift of God, is God," (!) Those Australians who imagined that mindless, unqualified statements only issued from American neo-cons be advised, conservative pro-American Evangelicals are alive and very ‘unwell’ in conservative Anglican Sydney. ... read full story / add a comment
