There has been an e-mail circulating concerning a protest outside the FAI offices on Merrion Square today at 7.30. Will this be attended by all the fools who laughed at me in the past for wasting my time whilie protesting against war and inequality? I'd like to see the crowd both the make up and the scale. I'm interested in seeing it but unfortunately I cant make it (I'm going playing a bit of football). So if anyone is in the area and a little curious maybe they could post a few details later or tomorrow? Did these protesors take thier lead from the wave of protest on the news this last few years? Is there a way to get these people out on other marches now that they 'march'? Yours baffled but still in love with the beautiful game. read full story / add a comment

An alliance of anarchists in Cork ran an anti-general election campaign during the recent Dail elections. The campaign involved members of the WSM, the ASF and the independent Cork Anarchists. At the outset, the campaign put as its aim to 'use the elections to highlight anarchists ideas' A leaflet was drawn up that set out anarchist ideas and our criticisms of capitalism, arguing from that the current elections offered most people no real choice. Full report is online with pictures, the leaflet text and links at http://struggle.ws/wsm/news/2002/electionMAY.html read full story / add a comment

This is just to flag up the last weekend in June as the date for a demilitarisation protest in the Fermanagh area (More details closer to the date and the specific installation being targetted is being kept confidential until the day for security reasons) The Saturday will include a series of educationals and workshops with a function that night with the actual protest the next day. The presence of British military bases remains one of the most provocative issues for local people and a concrete symbol of British imperialism. All are welcome to come and further info can be found by making contact with Ográ Shinn Féin. read full story / add a comment

Since it is a particularly interesting and difficult question, I wanted to share it with you to see any ideas y'all might have, so as to be a sort of dialogue for me to engage with with the hope of enriching my essay. So without further adu here is the question.Just a note, I am not saying that I agree with the way immigration is handled, or that I agree with the language in this question. I just wish to use IMC as a medium to pose this question to people around the world. read full story / add a comment

The two Palestinians that have been granted refuge in Ireland, have been accused of dangerous crimes that if true, would brand them as terrorists, and there is stong evidence to support these allegations. If exposing the Irish public to such dangers is part of the Irish government fulfilling its international responsibilities, then it is time to take a closer look at our international responsibilities. read full story / add a comment
