Robert Fisk points out the similarities to the current US military situation in Afghanistan and the situation the USSR was in prior to their pullout: 1. Up to 25% of the weapons caches are imported since the US occupation 2. The US has had to abandon several military outposts 3. Rape of women and burning of schools is still going on. 4. Al Qaeda still operate a radio station within Afghanistan which calls for the expulsion of the Americans. Where's the "success"? Fisk asks.
