Indymedia censorship at work again

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday February 05, 2003 22:35author by William A Finnerty Report this post to the editors

News item removed

I note that an item posted earlier this evening about Mary Kelly has been removed by the Indymedia censor. Why was it removed and who removed it??

As far as I can recall the item referred to a legitimate news report on TV3.

Why do Indymedia continue to censor articles that they don't like? I suppose this posting will also be cut from the site also before too long.

Anybody who missed the item can probably see it again on TV3 news tonight.

You wouldn't be the same William A Finnerty who abused the homeless for daring to try to stage a march in Dublin last night? Basically you wanted the Gardai to go in and arrest them because they didn't seek permission for the Gardai to march on the streets (Our streets) and then you were gloating because the homeless march didn't take place. FYI William A Finnerty you are not obliged to seek permisson from the Gardai or any other authorities to march on our streets (Well not at the moment and not for the want of trying from the establishment). It is only a courtesy to inform the Gardai if you intend to march.

"march in Dublin last night". Should have read "last year."

IMC spoke to mary Kelly in person this evening at the denis halliday talk in Clontarf. (shock horror - u ever talk to the people you spam in person William?) She does not condemn the Catholic Worker people and she read the post on Indymedia and described it as 'another attempt to divide the Irish Peace Movement'.

As previously explained on thie newswire, I am not the 'other' William Finnerty. I know who you are talking about, although I have note seen or heard anything from him in a while.

I do put the 'A' in to make the distinction but perhaps thats not enough!
