Every few weeks, Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak tells Israel it must resume negotiations with the Palestinians that will lead them to a state. But on Sunday, December 1, he went a lot further. A protester has just been arrested near the perimeter fence of Shannon Airport, I'm told, but was prompty released. The 31 year old man from Belfast came down with a group of at least twenty others from the North for the anti-war protest today. read full story / add a comment

Coaches coming from all over the country (Cork, Galway, Limerick, Dublin, Belfast), others coming by Bus Eireann, car, bike or foot. Terry Jones laments the fact that the Iron Lady didn't think to bomb the USA when Britain was being persuaded out of the North by the IRA. He notes that it's going to cost billions to bomb Iraq.
