Women's Protest at Dail. Make a Symphony of Noise at the Dail next Wednesday at 7.30pm. Bring pans and lids/spoons and make our opposition to the war heard by banging out a Symphony of Protest. Speakers and Singers and plenty of sound. Our empty pots will symbolize the food shortages Iraqi families have suffered particulary the children, as a result of sanctions and now the war. The sounds we will make are to symbolize the dreadful noise of bombs and explosions the people of Iraq have to live and die through. Let the Government hear us as Women opposing this barbaric war on Wednesday next. read full story / add a comment

Tony Blair's government tightened the screws on Israel's illegal West Bank settlements yesterday by warning British food and agricultural importers that they will now be liable for taxes on zero-rated goods which are not genuinely Israeli. Less than 10% of Israel's farms exports are said to emanate from the West Bank, but such goods are used to defray the heavy cost of subsidising the settlements from Palestinian attacks. For instance a lone settler occupying a hilltop in the West Bank illegally is being guarded by 6 troops to the tune of $27,000 a month! Your money is going to subsidise illegal settlements and ethnic cleansing if you buy Israeli goods! Boycott Israel! read full story / add a comment
