news from Argentina.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() a wave of evictions is spreading through Argentina. This is of great importance to all. After the collapse of the Argentinian economy many workers and people had no option but to take control of their workplaces or homes. Many commercial concerns were kept going by workers collectives and grass root groups. Since those days when many left Argentina as economic refugees to seek life in other South American countries or Europe much of their protest methodology has entered our approach to less confrontational mass mobilisations. The current European fascination for Tango was the one of the cultural exports of the Argentinians. Many lived in Europe and hundreds of thousands passed through Barcelona. YoMango a grouping which takes it's name from a pun based on the Multi-national-corporation MANGO sweatshop labour clothing apparal marketed at First World BCD socio economic groups and maintains non unionised minum wage high street outlets. Mangar is the spanish slang verb to steal, yomango thus means "I steal". For millions who experienced the collapse of their country stealing of food was the only option to keep their children and families alive. To keep food in those pots we still bang. Now we see a new phase of post-crises Argentinian Society. Many are returning to that country from Europe and North America. Most return to the instability they left, but a notable minority are returning much wealthier than they left. They have made a "profit" which they now seek to invest in Argentinian society many at the continued exploitation of those they left behind. Thus a new "owner-employer-landlord" class is again attacking the vulnerable. for those who read Spanish or Catalan this story is currently feature one on the Barcelona site links are there to the Argentina IMC site articles.
