As a supporter of this site I was very disappointed to see people were picketing Barry Andrews office last week. Calling him a war mongerer is out of line as he was the only FF td to put down a Dail motion seeking the Govt not to support the war in Iraq without a 2nd UN resolution. This must be some better targets within FF than Barry and he seems like such a nice young fellow as well. read full story / add a comment

Over three years have passed since the three-day killing spree in the village of El-Kosheh that left 21 Christians murdered, 33 Christians wounded, and 260 Christian homes and businesses destroyed. In a blatant disregard for justice, Egypt’s courts today acquitted 93 of the 96 defendants. The court’s verdict is a grave disappointment for Egypt’s Christian community who remain exasperated by several failed attempts to ensure justice and equity read full story / add a comment

this is a mailing about a stay in limerick prison where i briefly met karen fallon. ( shannon court case ). i am now using my charge of criminal damage to the constituency office of the minister for de fence, to complain about the government and the minister under provisions of the constitution. i urgently need some contact with mary kelly or those acting on her behalf, or other similar initiatives - to avoid duplication of effort. also, i will plead not guilty, not denying what i have done - but justifying it under international law / treaties / tribunals / principles . . . i obviously need to consult with others to carry this off - can you help me ? read full story / add a comment

A military spokesman has confirmed the use of cluster bombs, where a large bomb container scatters hundreds of bomblets over a wide area. The bomblets explode shredding anyone in a radius of hundreds of meters with deadly shrapnel. Worse still the military says only about 5% of the bomblets do not explode, leaving them as a deadly post war legacy which will continue to maim and kill Iraqis for decades. read full story / add a comment

According to the Geneva Convention, any airline that is involved in transporting military equipment or troops is a legitimate target in wartime. This includes individual flights that are not carrying anything dodgy, airline offices, warehouses, etc. NATO used this to justify some of the bombings it carried out in Serbia and Kosovo in 1999. Check out this website for a list of all airlines involved and more legal background. read full story / add a comment

I'm sickened to see these inhumane war mongers sitting so high and mighty.
