In 2001 448 people officially took their own lives, there were 366 road deaths over that same period (some of those accidents were likely to have been suicides)
These official figures are without doubt much lower than the true scope of the problem read full story / add a comment

On the morning of Wednesday September 10th peace activists from Donegal, Cavan and Sligo gathered for a silent peace vigil. The vigil involved candles, banners and creative art and was designed to reflect on the ongoing bloodshed in occupied Iraq and the Irish government's complicity by allowing U.S military forces to use Irish airspace, landing and refueling facilities. read full story / add a comment

On Monday, September 22nd, starting from the Spike/Spire on O’Connell Street at 5pm, Reclaim The Streets and Critical Mass will be holding a “Repaint The Streets” event to mark European Car Free Day. This will involve carrying out much needed improvements, including providing more bike lanes, zebra crossings, warning signs and creative decorations to try to make our drab, dirty and traffic-crowded city streets into a safer, more human and brighter space for us all. read full story / add a comment

A large crowd gathered outside City Hall in Galway on Tuesday the 9th , on what may be the last chance to do so legally if the city's reactionary and draconian council get their way. People and groups from all walks of Galway life were there, buskers, skateboarders, kite flyers, shopkeepers, sports enthuasiasts, unions, voluntary and political groups. All were united in protest and condemnation at the introduction of the borderline facist byelaws, which are set to strangle through over-regulation nearly all public activity of almost any sort, and destroy the vibe and spirit that Galway is famous for. read full story / add a comment

At round 9am this morning I seen a number of nazi posters in the temple bar area with the "The holocaust never happened" on the top of them with a link to "David Noones" nazi website.
I Managed to rip down all the posters I seen but their may be more did any one eles see these nazi posters anywhere in Dublin ?
Could it be noone was in Dublin again or he has other nazi contacts in Dublin ?
We need to confort these nazis so they dont get a foothold anywhere in Ireland.
As Hitler said himself if the nazis were never Challenged they would never have became powerfull. read full story / add a comment
