Credibility of Garda in Question Garda Donal Corcoran of Mountjoy station (now on desk duty in Fitzbibbon Station) he is the face of Police Brutality in Ireland, but he was not the only one. many officers are pictured randomley battoning portersers on and around the head. When the Police are crimanals they must be treated like everybody else and arrested and locked up., otherwise we can not claim to live in a democracy read full story / add a comment

Great craic had by all who attended. Sun poked its head out onto the crowd of 200-ish, who were chilling out in the park listening to Bongo. Then acompanied by guitars, saxaphone, and a wicked drummer who nearly had a heart atack on stage from playing so fast! Garda presence was small and un-offensive. They acted fair and the day went off smoothly. "It isn't a riot without riot police" so the crowed were mellow. Nothing to do with the day that was in it- international cannabis liberation day ;-) read full story / add a comment

The day was peaceful at the beginning and many different people from all walks of life partied. Live music, song and dance entetained us. But there is always a small minority who promote agrivation. I hope the incidents of violence done over shadow the highlights of the day- the good weather, the people we met and the dancing we did. read full story / add a comment

It was expected that this would be the largest Dublin Reclaim the Streets to date. What was not so expected was that by the end of the day 24 people would have been arrested and over a dozen hospitalised by a police riot on Dame street. Bank Holiday Monday: up to 1000 people partied hard on the streets of Dublin on the south side of the River Liffey along Burgh Quay and George's Quay. The east end of the quay at Butt Bridge was blocked and at 3pm the party was in full swing with three sound systems, capoeira, football, twister, dancing, bongoing, cheering and guerrilla gardening. read full story / add a comment
