An Irish protester arrested in genoa detailed at length how while in Bolsaneto Prison - unidentified persons gazed at a screen detailing his recent credit card purchases which included his recent book purchases. He was also retina scanned for his troubles. He was tortured pretty extensively and then released without charge after signing numerous 'unknown documents in Italian' He detailed this incident in a letter to Minister Cowen and as far as I know recieved no reply. The Norwegian press is mobilizing against Jews in a horrifying way. The same antisemitic arguments used 50 years ago are used now against Israel, i.e. Jews. Pro-Israeli articles are not published in newspapers. Pro-Israeli facts are not subject for radio and TV. Almost every single day Norwegians TV and other media attack Israel. If they don't find strong enough arguments, stronger interviews are imported from international sources, as long as they blame the Jews. ... read full story / add a comment

On the same day as the general strike that rocked Spain, Portuguese workers took to the streets all over the country saying, "No to attacks on our class". Spain: "The demonstrations yesterday were massive. Estimations say there were 200,000 in Seville. In Barcelona it was been between 500,000 and 600,000 and in Madrid there were another 500,000! In a lot of cities these were the biggest demonstrations since the fall of the Franco dictatorship in the 1970's! for full articles go to : http://www.worldsocialist-cwi.org/ ... read full story / add a comment
