Workers and service users of the Irish Wheelchair Association are protesting today about a 33% cut in FAS funding which will result in over half of their current staff being let go in the next 12 months. A number of people with banners were parading down O’Connell St. at lunch time, followed by a fleet of IWA coaches to protest at these cuts. I presume they were on their way to the Dail to register a formal complaint there.
