An article in today's Guardian newspaper about a riot at the UK's worst immigration removal centre, the Harmondsworth conplex, begins with a passage which might tell us something about why people there are rioting: "The Home Office today promised a full investigation after the discovery of a hanged detainee led to a "serious disturbance" overnight at the country's largest immigration detention centre. Indymedia has a huge amount of pages on it's group projects and processes at http://docs.indymedia.org they are made on a twiki (see twiki.org) which allows many people to edit one document.

Sitting here in Galway today reading the newswire, i can hear military jets (presumably US) flying overhead in preparation for the Salthill Airshow. For some people in certain parts of our world that sound means imminent and indiscriminate injury or death. For us its just a fun day out down in Salthill, naked militarism? no its just Entertainment!.
Once more we are faced with the stark contrast between Reality and the life that we actually lead here ...in cloud cuckoo land.
