On Thursady the (9th of April )last I had the opportunity to engage in dialogoue with An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, while he went walkabout throughout his constituency. It wasnt very pleasent Imust say, as at times Bertie liberally used the four letter word throughout our encounter, and constantly spoke to me in a patronising manner. ... read full story / add a comment

The potential for world public opinion to defeat the American occupation of Iraq has never been greater. Ireland holds a special place in the American psyche and Ireland will be front-and-center on the world's news media on Saturday, June 26th - when President George W. Bush visits Ireland. This is therefore a moment of great leverage for Irish opponents to the American war on Iraq. ... read full story / add a comment

However, rather than supporting the campaigners who are trying to keep the school open, a school which has nurtured and generated a lot of literary and cultural talent in the last couple of decades, Royston Brady is on p. 7 demanding that ararchists, and what he calls 'anti-globalisation extremists', be banned from Dublin on May 1st. ... read full story / add a comment
