There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, and Islam is the world's fastest-growing religion. If the evil carnage we witnessed on Sept. 11 were typical of the faith, and Islam truly inspired and justified such violence, its growth and the increasing presence of Muslims in both Europe and the U.S. would be a terrifying prospect. A UCD professor has discovered that the Government has been lying all along about the extent of the funds to be cut from Ireland's overseas aid budget. The Fianna Fail-Progressive Democrats cabal official line is that planned expenditure on aid will be reduced by €32m this year, but the true figure is €8 to €10m higher. This flies in the face of the Government's commitment to give 0.7% of GNP in aid to developing countries within five years... read full story / add a comment
