The Free Presbyterian Church was founded in 1951 in Northern Ireland. There are 17 of these congregations in North America and roughly 100 in the world. It's leader Rev. Dr. Ian Paisley is the only European Political Party leader to also be a leader of religious sect. Fintan Lane began a 60-day prison sentence on Wednesday 26th November for his refusal to pay a €750 fine for protesting at Shannon Airport. He is in Limerick Prison and is in good form. Letters can be sent to him at Limerick Prison, Mulgrave Street, Limerick. Visits are being co-ordinated by Joe Moore and Dominic Carroll of the Cork Anti-War Campaign; prisoners are limited to 2 visits a week, so please phone 087 1258325 if you wish to visit Fintan. read full story / add a comment
