Airfield is a working farm in Dundrum. I spent the first 18 years of my life growing up beside it and I am concerned about its future and the community's right to have access to it as a rare amenity in the area. Rumours are that property developers have other ideas though. I believe that popular resistance to the imposition of the neo-liberal economic agenda is vital- whether one lives in Ireland or Bolivia. Easing of planning regulations governing the building of one-off houses in the countryside were essential if stability in the rural population was to be maintained or regained. This was stated by Independent Sligo/Leitrim TD Marian Harkin, when she welcomed reports that new guidelines from the Department of the Environment would ease current restrictions on house building in the countryside. Here is the minutes of last saturday meeting, hope to see you on Saturday 10/1/4, 3pm in the teachers club, we also are looking for someone who can do sign language (see below) please get back to us thanks rory -- convenor, another europe is possible I know that This is along shot, but a person who wishes to attend the "Another Europe is Possible" meeting, on Saturday is Deaf, and he requires a sign language interpreter. The cost of getting someone to do this is euro 85 for the hour.
