NASA's Marsoweb site offers amateur explorers the opportunity to assist in adding to it's knowledge base of Mars. Detailed maps,engineering data and interactive toolsfor studying the terrain are made available and visitors to the site are encouraged to explore and report on any important geologic feature that haven't been catalogued as yet. After giving IndyMedia a fair shot, I am through with it. It may be fine for announcements of events, but for op/ed and analysis pieces, it is more hassle than it is worth for me.
