A g 8 mobilising network was set up from the Making poverty history –making war history meeting last week in the ATGWU hall. The network is focused on mobilising for the protests at the g8 summit in Scotland (see below some of the actions) and other related events such as the Make Poverty History rally in Ireland. We hope to organise public meetings, fundraisers, video showings etc to raise awareness of the g8 and issues around poverty, war and corporate greed. The IPSC holds its first Information Day in Club na Múinteoiri on Saturday 23rd April, from 12 noon. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

There will be stalls, presentations and information from both IPSC and non-IPSC activists.

This is an opportunity to meet activists from IPSC and other organisations, and learn about ways to get involved in Palestinian solidarity - from buying Palestinian fairtrade olive oil to actually going to Palestine.

The IPSC will show the Al-Haq documentary "In The Spider's Web" in Trinity College Arts Block (theatre tbc) @ 7.30pm.

The film, which documents Palestinian lives under occupation, will be introduced by Sha'wan Jabarin of Al-Haq, who was the first Palestinian Amnesty International prisoner of conscience.

A discussion will follow the film. Admission free - all welcome.
