Get involved in the mobilisation for the g8 protests

The rulers of the world are gathering for the G8 summit in Scotland in early July.
This motley crew of warmongers and dictators will be met by hundreds of thousands of protesters who will be taking part in a range of protests around the summit organised by NGO’s, trade unions, left wing parties, and activist networks from across Europe and beyond.

A g 8 mobilising network was set up from the Making poverty history –making war history meeting last week in the ATGWU hall. The network is focused on mobilising for the protests at the g8 summit in Scotland (see below some of the actions) and other related events such as the Make Poverty History rally in Ireland. We hope to organise public meetings, fundraisers, video showings etc to raise awareness of the g8 and issues around poverty, war and corporate greed. We want to unite and work with all groups and individuals who agree with those simple aims.

Our first open organising meeting is this Sunday 17th April at 4pm in the foyer of the Westbury hotel just off grafton st – (its free there!)

We have booked two buses (see details below)

The g 8 mobilising network is an alliance of independent activists and activists from various organisations and groups such as the Irish Anti War Movement, labour youth, Socialist Party, Socialist Workers Party and Sinn Fein. It is open to anyone who wishes to get involved in mobilising for the protests at the g8 summit in Scotland and other related events such as the Make Poverty History rally in Ireland.

Our first open organising meeting is this Sunday 17th April at 4pm in the foyer of the Westbury hotel just off grafton st – (its free there!)

To get involved, help out the mobilisation or find out info come along to the meeting on Sunday or contact dave at 087 270 3564
