US President George Bush is to visit Ireland for a European summit this summer, it was confirmed tonight. Mr Bush will hold talks in Dublin with Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in his role as president of the EU on June 25 and 26, a Government spokeswoman said. A massive security operation will be put in place to safeguard the meeting in the Irish capital. The meeting has been called in a bid to improve relations between the EU and the US. The venue for the summit has yet to be confirmed, the spokeswoman added. read full story / add a comment ![]()
