In a series of co-ordinated atacks on commuter trains, without any none warnings, terrorists have killed more than 85 people in Madrid.

It is believed at the current moment that the ETA were behind the attacks.

Will it be possible now for those political party who support the political wings of ETA, to dissassociate themselves from ETA terrorism?

In particular Sinn Fein. It was widely assumed that Sinn Fein would sit with the representatives of ETA within the European Parliament if they had any MEPs elected. Hopefully, they'll condemn the attacks and acknowledge that the murder of innocent commuters going to work achieves nothing, and cannot be considered part of any 'struggle'. read full story / add a comment

Indymedia Ireland to establish a support group and physical Indymedia centre for Mayday.

Last week two major steps were taken in the development of Indymedia in Ireland. These steps were prompted by two major events coming up in Ireland in the next few months, the accession of the 10 new EU members on May 1st during Ireland's EU presidency and the visit of George Bush to Ireland on June 25th for a US-EU summit. These events present a great challenge and a great opportunity for Indymedia. We can be sure that a large number of people from all over the world will come to Indymedia to find out what's really happening behind the facade of the corporate and state propaganda machines. read full story / add a comment
