The 11th annual break from the shops falls the day after Thanksgiving, the US holiday that traditionally sounds a starting gun for an all-out, hedonistic rush to the shops for Christmas goodies. Friends - with Bush's plans to attack Iraq in December on the basis of failed UN inspections, the Anti War Movement in Belfast has called a meeting this Wednesday to discuss state of opposition and what we can do here. The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Committee are providing a speaker and there will be contributions from those that attended the million strong Italian demo against the war at the ESF.
