There was a hearing today in the High Court to set a trial date for the Catholic Worker 5 as a result of their action at Shannon Airport last February. However as the gardai had not yet completed the preparations for the prosecutions the hearing was adjourned until October with no date set for the trial. Before today's hearing there was a demonstration in support of the group. It started at the Spike and then moved single file to the Four Courts. read full story / add a comment

A major protest against waste incineration was staged this week, involving over 235 groups from 62 countries. A successful picket was held to-day, by the Pasty O'Connor, Dublin slua of Na Fianna Éireann outside the GPO in Dublin. Paddy recently accompanied a group of Christian Zionists to the headquarters of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem , which was mentioned below.
