The Labour Party leader has said that Ahern's support for a second resolution before war against Iraq logically implies that Ahern should therefore state that any unilateral attack on Iraq by the US and its allies would be unjustified, immoral and illegal. So it is Rabbitte's position that if a majority coalition of the bought and the bribed at the U.N. supports the US, then the war is no longer unjustified. This makes morality a matter of how successful the U.S. is in bribing members of the security council. This is a bizarre position for a 'leader' of the Irish working class. read full story / add a comment

Anti Bush Administration does not = Anti-American Anti Nice Treaty does not = Anti European Protesters here are deliberately planning days of Anti War Action in co-operation with millions of Europeans and Americans. This Anti-American line will not wash whatever Willie's little Doktors (who themselves are a focus of attention for once in their little backroom lives) tell u. How much are they being paid to come up with these cold-war warrior cliches which no-one is swallowing. Hi all. Sorry for using the newswire in this fashion but we need a high quality photo of a US warplane in shannon asap. We are printing 20,000 leaflets for the Cork march on the 8th March but the photo that we had was too low a resolution for printing. Apparently we need one of 300psi or higher quality. read full story / add a comment
