Thousands of drugs passed safe in animals have been withdrawn or banned due to their effect on human health. 95% of drugs passed by animal tests are immediately disgarded as useless or dangerous to humans. At least 450 different methods exist with which can replace animal experiments. So, why is animal testing still legal? read full story / add a comment

I have regularly witnessed many children participating in hunts throughout the country, even though it was clearly not a public or a school holiday. Surely it would be more beneficial to a child's intellectual well-being to follow the same educational system that a normal well-adjusted child would follow in order to become a normal upstanding member of society in later life, rather than turning into the violent blood junkies that certain members of society have become? read full story / add a comment

We held a vigil for the dead at Shannon Airport on 31st October 04. This was promptly ignored or ridiculed by the mainstream media. We expected as much, water off a duck's back etc. However, I have taken exception to the misrepresentation of the purpose of our vigil by one periodical, The Limerick Leader. Below is the offending section of Editorial and my open letter in reply. read full story / add a comment |
