The Council of Dublin City voted tonight to pass the Estimates, with a minor amendment from FF by 32 votes to 15. The Estimates were supported by Labour, FG and FF councillors. An Iraqi student has been suspended from her school in Dublin after she had her photograph taken with the Irish President, Mrs Mary McAleese. The principal, Mr Danny Cussen has defended the action, saying it was a disciplinary matter for the school only, and denied it was because of the students nationality.
