UNICEF Ireland received in the post today a cheque in the amount of EUR1052.08 from the Superintendent, An Garda Siochana, Anglesea Street, Cork, which was the money seized by gardai from members of the Cork Anti-War Campaign (CAWC) during a march in the city on 22 March. At the subsequent court case the judge dismissed the case against the collectors and agreed to a CAWC request that the money go to UNICEF Ireland to be used in Iraq.
