national / miscellaneous Saturday March 16, 2002 - 16:08 by Donal Roche
Lt. Donal Roche, brother of Adi Roche was publicly exposed as a terrorist during her Presidential election campaign. Secret nameless forces of the State leaked details of his Army career to the press. This only happened after Adi turned down Minister for Defence Michael Smith's offer asking her to run for FF. Roche has struggled through the Courts to gain access to his Army files from April/June 1969 but has been denied on 'delay' grounds. Taoiseach Bertie Ahern recently refused Joe Higgins T.D. a request to make the files available. Roche now fears being arrested when he goes to the U.S. to visit his family. He can not clear his name without the files but the President and State are blocking him. This is reminiscent of the old U.S.S.R. style of secrecy. A man is framed and condemned for life with no redress! ... read full story / add a comment
