I know that This is along shot, but a person who wishes to attend the "Another Europe is Possible" meeting, on Saturday is Deaf, and he requires a sign language interpreter.

Yesterday was a historic day in the long campaign against the evils of the arms trade. At a special meeting yesterday, Derry City Council condemned the arms trade and Raytheon's role in it. A pregnant Pakistani woman and her brother-in-law have become the latest targets of a hate campaign by racists in south Belfast.

The pair had just retired for bed last night when a six-foot wooden plank was thrown through the front window of their house in the Donegall Road.

Both occupants were badly shaken by the incident, the latest in a spate of racist attacks in loyalist areas of south Belfast.

Bad news for campaigners from the High Court. Michael Mulcreevy, giving an address at Killarney but well known in activist circles throughout Ireland, has lost his case. He sought a judicial review to investigate the decision allowing the Jackson Way Roundabout at Carrickmines to go ahead. What next for the campaign?
