A very good humoured critical mass event went off today with about 200 cyclists taking to the streets. The cycle went past Dail Eireann (booing an emerging silver mercedes which obviously had a FF look about it) and returned at leisurely pace to O'Connell St.. ... read full story / add a comment

One month ago, War Resisters' International put out a call for nonviolent action at military bases on 5/6 April 2003. In many countries groups are planning actions - in Britain, from where the idea originates, actions are planned at 11 military bases (see http://www.reclaimthebases.org.uk for details). Actions will also happen at the Spinelli barracks in Mannheim, Germany, at some military base in Turkey, at a base in Japan, and probably at many other places. Please let us know soon what you are planning. It is important that the WRI office knows, and can provide an overview on actions on that weekend from all over the world. The call is availabe at http://www.wri-irg.org/news/2003/reclaim.htm ... read full story / add a comment
