Protest March at Shannon

Dead Slow March to Shannon Airport, March 30th

There will be a "Dead Slow March to Shannon Airport" on Sunday, March 30th. Assemble at Lidl Supermarket at 2pm. If possible, wear black, paint your face white and your hands red. (I will be there with face and hand paint!!) The idea is to walk very very slowly all the way up to the terminal building, taking approx. 4 hours. Buses have been organised from Cork- contact the Cork Peace Alliance. Hope to see as many people as possible there.

4 hours? That's not going to be too handy for anyone with kids then. Oh well.

The start time is from Lidl as far as I know. The idea is to walk as slowly as possible, thus blocking the road without actually blockading it. Obviously you don't have to be there for the whole 4 hours, which wouldn't be much fun for the kids I agree, but you could do an hour or so with them, it's always lovely to have kids at demos. And I don't think they'll be the only ones dropping out early or starting late!!
As far as I know no buses are organised from Dublin, some people are driving, maybe post here to try and co-ordinate lifts?

By the way I am fairly sure we agreed that we would assemble at the entrance. Can the secretary of GNAW clarify?

Student walkouts are all very well but they wont stop the war.

Workers action will. Why did the SP OPPOSE a lobby of the ICTU conference?
