Fianna Fail's Ned O'Keefe recently described the current Government as the most right-wing in the history of the Irish State. "Caring" Bertie Ahern was outraged. He said he considered FF to be left-of-centre. "Caring" Micheal Martin followed suit, declaring himself as a left-wing politician. Today, inflation figures showed that price rises in the last 12 months averaged 4.8%. In the area of health, the increase was 13.9%. In education it was 10.2%. And there was me thinking that left-wingers supported cheaper, more accessible health and education services. ... read full story / add a comment

' "Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government." -- Henry Kissinger speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992 Bilderbergers meeting. Unbeknownst to Kissinger, his speech was taped by a Swiss delegate to the meeting.' Great to have an independent impartial investigation, isn't it. ... read full story / add a comment

"Of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? ... But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along. ... All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. " ... read full story / add a comment

Green Party Greetings To All, The latest cities to authorize anti-war resolutions here in the US is #23 Ann Arbor and #24 Baltimore. Also Chicago is debating it right now. Unfortunately here in Minneapolis the mayor RT Ryback has stated that he would veto any such resolution here. Mind you, he then appears at anti-war rallies (frigging hypocrite). his reasoning is that "it is not the job of cities to be involved in federal issues but 'hey, i am here at the anti-war rallies aren't I". Typical politician. Oh well, be rest assured that we in the anti-war movement (you know, the one the media is ignoring or marginalizing) will continue to work on him. Be aware people of the world, not all Americans are supportive of the foreign policies of this immoral and out of control Administration. BTW way to go with the Dublin and Shannon protests. ... read full story / add a comment
