Last Summer, on the 16th June 2004 was was the 100th anniversary of Ulysses, James joyces more revered work. As official celebration kicked off on O Connell st, activists working within the Dublin grassroots network took part in a some political street theatre of their own.

Deciding to highlight the abuses of state terrorism being carried out by the occupying forces of Iraq and Afganistan, that continue to this day, the activists 'hooded' up the statue of Joyce on Talbot st., dressed up in the universally identifiable clours of those held illegally in Guantánamo Bay.
