♣‡ In 1988 Pat Robertson's 'Christian Coalition' controlled 40% of the delegates at the Republican Convention and helped to put George W's father into the White House. Today he continues to represent a genocidal cocktail of American Ultra-Nationalism and Charismatic 'Christian' Fundamentalism in support of extreme elements of Israeli Zionism. The forces that divide humanity issue from religion, tribalism, racism and self-interest. The fact that right wing groups emphasise the ‘virtues’ of these principles clearly identifies their support base and driving principles. It would seem obvious that an assault on the principles that create undesirable circumstances is preferable to dealing with the (disastrous) consequences after the event. ... read full story / add a comment

It is now evident that this grandmother (who puts younger Americans to shame) was exhibiting prophetic or intuitive insight. In that period Bush was relatively tame. This American woman and true patriot is an inspiration to us all. ... read full story / add a comment
