This is what Bush wanted. There now just short of 400 people officially at camp Delta which is one of 2 confirmed facilities in the bay. Only 5% of those were captured by US soldiers, the vast majority were bought from Pakistani and a variety of Afghan based militia groups. Yes. Dr Magneto just said "bought". It sounds different to detained, arrested, renditioned, seized, or magically levitated and moved.

Notice the use of language -- Australian news radio (12 noon) today broadcast that “convicted terrorist, David Hicks, receives nine month sentence...” – shame on ABC news radio, one can only wonder whether the choice of wording reflected the fundamentalist conservative, evangelical christian values of the Howard-loving producer, who will remain nameless in this report. Unlike American loving evangelical christians, most Australians accept “convictions” as a result of fair trials and due legal process NOT sordid kangaroo court 'determinations'. ... read full story / add a comment

The six medical personnel that are to be executed in Libya for the alleged HIV epidemic at the El Fath Childrens Hospital in Benghazi in 1998- deserves a ping.

Europe- The EU has called for unity on the issue of what they consider a mis-trial and the EU is not very unified at the moment, especially on Africa. It is not within the Blair Government's foreign policy to accept the EU, it clashes with their own policy of colonialism or neo-colonialism.

The ex-colonies are rising up at the moment. Old Europe is clashing with the US/K hegamony and Africa seems to be where the policy of abuse and imperialism is playing out for the Brits. Bush has his own problems with South America. ... read full story / add a comment

The Peoples' Republic of China have today through their ambassador to the UN at Geneva and their state news agency Xinhua called for a new treaty to stop the militarisation of space arguing (quite correctly) the current international law and treaties are not adecquate to the challenges & criminal potential of state and non-state agencies.

Faye Turney, a married mother of a young daughter, serving in the British armed forces, was shown wearing a black headscarf as she was interviewed and forced to apologise for "aggression" against Iran. The sight of a non-muslim Western woman forced to submit to the misogynist Islamic headscarf demonstrates the bigotry of the Islamic government of Iran and echoes the forced "conversion" of an American reporter and cameraman to Islam when they were captured by Palestinian terrorists last year. ... read full story / add a comment

Metro Eireann has highlighted an anomaly affecting migrants to the North of Ireland. They are forced to pledge allegiance to the British Queen when seeking citizenship rights.

In line with the Good Friday Agreement, they should have the right to opt out of this feudal coercion of pledging allegiance to an unelected monarch and to a contested state in the north of Ireland.

The Alliance Party and Sinn Fein have opposed this feudal remnant, that has so far been forced on over 600 migrants. Already controversial in Britain, it is completely unsuited to the situation of contested nationality in the north of Ireland. ... read full story / add a comment
