Is there no law or court in the world that can really protect innocent civilians from being killed and injured by the US and UK military? According to former soldier and syndicated journalist Brian Cloughley, The 3rd Infantry division has gone on a pillaging spree in Baghdad airport taking comfy seats, breaking windows in the terminal, taking what they want and leaving it in a state that "would make the Aegean Stables look like a Tiffany’s window." The DHKC (Revolutionary People's Liberation Front) from Turkey issues a statement commemorating the attack on the Moncada barracks in eastern Cuba which started the revolution in Cuba. Today the ploughshares Dominican nuns Jackie Hudson, Carol Gilbert and Ardeth Platte were sentenced to 18 months, two years and nine months, and three years and five months respectively after a ploughshares action in Colorado. The Catholic Worker five also had a bail hearing today in the Dublin Circuit Court, obtaining a significant relaxation in bail conditions but not a trail date as expected. read full story / add a comment |
