The leaked statements from witnesses to the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes refute the account spun to a compliant press in the immediate aftermath of his killing. Come and revisit childhood memories, but only if you don’t mind strange outdoor locations and a surreal taste. Watch Alice meeting her playmates and finding out what society is about. Does this naďve girl really need to grow up? Or are she and her friend in their pureness really more responsible than the adults?

If you are curious, come to this unique opportunity to see a psychological/political tale just below the trains. Probably the only chance you get is this Thursday. (August the 18th) read full story / add a comment

Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, the leader of the Palestinian National Initiative (Al Mubadara), a democratic secular organisation working for peaceful civil-resistance to the Israeli occupation and for the democratisation of Palestinian institutions, has called for the withdrawal of settlers from Gaza to be the first step in the creation of an independent state of Palestine in Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem and the settlement of all outstanding issues including the right to return. Dr. Barghouti was the main candidate of the left/secular/democratic forces in the Presidential elections of 2005 when he scored a creditable 20% against the current President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah.
