As he ran a gauntlet of over 200 protesters this morning Henry Kissinger elder statesman, Nobel Peace prize winner and suspected war crimainal, also ran a gamut of emotions and expressions. He went from defiant, getting out of his chauffeur driven limo as a group of around 100 protesters ran to greet him, through appearing dazed and confused by the barrage of noise and bodies which enveloped him and on to cowering and asking 'how could this happen?' as a further group of 120 students awaited him inside the building where he is giving a keynote speech on expanding the irish economy to a group of senior Irish business and political figures. So far the United Nations has not been able to come up with an agreed definition of terrorism because "terrorism", like one's attitude to many other matters, is determined by class position. It also comes into the question of independence and sovereignty and whether one is on the side of the colonialists and imperialists or on the side of those who are for national liberation and independence. read full story / add a comment
