The BBC is reporting that the US has offered $10bn in aid to help Israel out of the worst economic crisis since the country was created. They ignore UN resolution 242 for 30 years and they get aid. Why have they not been punished for their unending human rights abuses? An Anti War picket is ongoing at Top Oil Garage in Amiens Street. About 20 people are participating, Blisset was filming so expect some home movies later. We had a discussion with the owner and asked him if he would phone Top Oil to complain about their working for the US military. He replied that he was afraid to do so in case he was blacked by Top Oil & put out of business. read full story / add a comment

About 300 people- students , catering staff academics and office workers assembled in St pat's quadrangle at 12 o'clock today to protest against the war. Why are RTE not showing the Dail debate in full? Why do we need to see Crossroads instead of the most important debate in the Dail for years? I couldn't get a straight answer from them. The Bush administration, keen to avert Israeli involvement in the conflict in order to safeguard its fragile coalition, prevent escalation and limit pro-Iraqi identification in the Arab world, has pledged to forestall a repetition of 1991 Gulf war attacks, in which Iraq fired 39 Scud missiles at the Jewish state. read full story / add a comment
