MICHAEL GALLAGHER
REVOLUTIONARY SOCIALIST

LOCAL ELECTION CANDIDATE

I am formally launching my campaign to stand in the North Inner City Ward as an Independent Socialist.
Born in the North Inner City, where I have lived - and struggled - for most of my forty-seven years, I will continue to fight for my community and the working class in the battles ahead against the capitalist system. In a time of unprecedented wealth, the divide between the rich and the poor has widened even further, pushing people even more to the margins and the growing 'underclass'. read full story / add a comment

Where now after May Day for the anti-capitalist and anti-war movement?

Thousands of protestors took to the streets on May Day to show their anger at a world where the profit of a few rich multinationals comes before the well being and survival of billions of people in developing countries. We also protested against the bloody occupation of Iraq and we can see now how hollow the US/UK talk of liberation for the Iraqis was. George Bush is coming in June and we want to see hundreds of thousands on the streets to protest. read full story / add a comment
